This is the official refund and return policy for orders placed through goldenloaf.shop, applicable to in-store purchases, local delivery, and nationwide shipping.

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days from the date of delivery or in-store pickup. As a bakery specializing in perishable, fresh-baked goods, this policy applies only to orders with verifiable quality, freshness, or fulfillment issues (e.g., spoiled items, incorrect products, damaged packaging). Fully consumed items, or those with no proven defects, are not eligible for refunds.
 

Eligibility for Refunds/Returns

 
To qualify for a refund or return, your order must meet one or more of the following criteria (you must provide photos of the item/packaging for verification):
 
  • The baked goods arrive spoiled, stale, moldy, or unfit for consumption (even if unopened);
  • You receive the wrong item (e.g., a croissant instead of a sourdough loaf) or missing products due to our error;
  • The item is damaged (e.g., crushed pastries, torn packaging) during delivery or pickup.
 
For eligible orders:
 
  • Unconsumed items must be retained (if requested for return);
  • You must provide a receipt, order confirmation email, or proof of purchase.
 

Non-Returnable/Non-Refundable Items

 
The following cannot be refunded or exchanged, due to perishability, customization, or hygiene standards:
 
  • Baked goods that have been opened, partially consumed, or damaged due to improper storage (e.g., stale bread from leaving the bag open);
  • Custom products (e.g., personalized cakes, custom-printed cookies) unless the error is ours;
  • Gift cards for goldenloaf.shop (non-refundable, non-transferable);
  • Items delivered or picked up more than 30 days prior to your refund request;
  • Sale or promotional items with no proven quality defects (e.g., discounted day-old bread).

Refund Processing

 
  1. Submit a refund request to relation@goldenloaf.shop with your order ID, full name, clear photos of the issue (item, packaging, or missing products), and reason for the request.
  2. We will review your request within 2–3 business days and notify you via email of approval or rejection.
  3. Approved refunds will be credited to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.
 

Late or Missing Refunds

 
If you haven’t received your refund:
 
  1. Double-check your bank account or payment app (processing times vary by provider);
  2. Contact your credit card company—refunds may take 2–3 billing cycles to post;
  3. If issues persist, follow up with us at relation@goldenloaf.shop with your order ID and refund request details.
 

Exchanges

 
We only exchange items for the correct or undamaged version (e.g., replacing a crushed cake with a new one):
 
  1. Email relation@goldenloaf.shop with your order ID and issue details;
  2. If requested, return the unconsumed/defective item to our return address;
  3. We will prepare and ship/deliver the replacement item at no extra cost (for local delivery) or cover standard shipping (for nationwide orders).
 

Gift Orders

 
  • If the order was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you: You will receive a goldenloaf.shop gift credit for the return value once the issue is verified.
  • If the gift was shipped to the giver first: We will refund the gift giver, and they will be notified of the return.
 

Return Shipping Costs

 
  • Our Error: If the issue is due to our mistake (e.g., wrong item, spoiled product), we cover return shipping costs. Provide a shipping receipt for reimbursement.
  • Customer Preference: If you’re returning an eligible item simply because you changed your mind, you are responsible for return shipping (non-refundable).
 
We recommend using a trackable shipping service for returns—we are not liable for lost or missing return packages.
